Job Description:
Immediate need for an Intermediate Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer with a minimum of five years of experience preparing design of plumbing and fire protection systems including calculations of preliminary water, gas, sanitary/sewer, and storm loads while adhering to the firm’s QC process.
Responsibilities:
- Design plumbing and fire protection systems
- Perform calculations of preliminary water, gas, sanitary/sewer, and storm loads
- Examine field conditions as required.
- Attend meetings with clients and consultants.
- Create plans, schematics, equipment selection and calculations.
- Knowledge of NYC Filing requirements and procedures
- Review of submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.
Qualifications:
- 5 + years of similar Engineering experience with MEP firms
- Proven experience designing plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Knowledge of NYC, NY State and NFPA building codes
- Strong computer, AutoCAD, and Revit MEP skills
- Field experience
- MUST have excellent communication and writing skills.
- MUST be willing to work in-person.
- MUST be eligible to work in the US.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred
